|  Internships at the finest facilities in the area are an important part of the DVCi programs. Students are required to participate in food service-related employment during their schooling. Internships introduce students to practical application of their studies and contribute to the overall understanding of culinary arts. Internships can be initiated by the student, by the student's advisor, or by DVCi. Internship portfolios allow the culinary student to turn approved employment experience into credits for graduation. Students who have completed programs in Culinary Arts or Food Preparation programs that are approved through the Pennsylvania Department of Education or posses related experiences may earn advancement placement credits by completing a standardized evaluation of occupational competency. |
